Please read our FAQs below to find out more about our Perineural Injection Therapy and Prolotherapy. If your question is not answered here, please call us on 07 4942 5016 and our friendly team is ready to answer your queries.

1. What should I bring to my first appointment?

We kindly ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time so that we can assist you in completing the necessary paperwork. You do not need to bring anything with you for the appointment, and you should be able to resume normal walking activities immediately after the procedure.

3. How often do I need these treatments?

Treatments typically occur on a weekly basis for approximately 4 weeks, although the duration may be subject to adjustments based on the individual's progress and response to the treatment.

4. Can Prolotherapy help everyone?

Each patient needs a thorough evaluation before getting treatment. This includes a patient history, physical exam, X-ray, and full lab work. Our Podiatrists will use this information to assess how successful the treatment might be. Success depends on the patient's history of damage, overall health, ability to heal, and any nutritional deficiencies that could slow down healing.

5. Are these injections painful?

While injections may be unpleasant, PIT treatments differ from standard injections. They involve micro-injections just beneath the skin, similar to multiple pin-pricks. Following the procedure, any injection-related discomfort typically dissipates promptly. The objective of each treatment is for patients to leave the consultation room without experiencing pain.
