Phil Marshman, Podiatrist
Phil is a seasoned podiatrist with over a decade of experience, dedicated to providing exceptional care and innovative solutions for complex cases. A graduate of Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a degree in Podiatry, he brings a versatile skill set and a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes. As CEO and Director, Phil combines his clinical expertise with leadership to mentor his team and ensure the highest standards of care. Outside the clinic, he enjoys outdoor adventures and quality time with friends and family, embodying the balance and dedication he brings to his profession.
Mai Dang, Podiatrist
Mai graduated in 2025 and has recently made the move to Mackay, bringing with her the most bubbly, energetic vibes. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll usually find her baking sweet treats for everyone (we’re not complaining!) or heading to the gym. Mai absolutely loves taking care of people — whether it’s trimming nails, relieving foot pain, or helping patients tackle stubborn ingrown toenails (a special interest of hers!). At the end of the day, her favourite part of the job is seeing patients leave her room with a smile on their face. We’re so lucky to have her on board!
Chloe Johnson, Podiatry Assistant
Chloe has been with us since July 2025 now and has probably helped you feel your very best with a fresh pedicure. As our wonderful podiatry assistant, Chloe brings a calm, caring presence to every appointment. She’s been in Mackay for almost a year and is absolutely loving the coastal lifestyle and beautiful weather. On weekends, you’ll find her spending time with friends and family, getting involved in church community events. Chloe specialises in gentle, patient-centred care with a strong focus on comfort, nail refinement and skin health. She loves helping patients feel confident in the health, appearance, and comfort of their feet — and it truly shows in the care she provides.
Kate Mumford, Podiatrist
Kate is a skilled podiatrist and QUT graduate with a special interest in treating children’s foot pain conditions such as Sever’s, using Swift microwave therapy for stubborn warts, and managing sports injuries. As an avid runner herself, Kate brings personal insight into helping athletes recover and perform at their best. Renowned for her approachable nature, she ensures children and adults alike feel at ease during their treatment. Outside the clinic, Kate is also a talented baker who often shares her sweet creations with the team. With her expertise, warmth, and vibrant personality, Kate makes every patient feel comfortable and cared for.
Alexes Marshman, Podiatry Assistant
Alexes is not only Phil’s wife but also a warm-hearted mother of three who lives on a small farm surrounded by goats, turkeys, chickens, and a thriving veggie patch. Passionate about community and connection, Alexes has been involved in many local development projects in Sarina. Here at Pioneer, she’s an integral part of our clinical team, now leading much of our corn care and diabetic foot checks. You’ll also often find her with the Shockwave or MLS laser in hand, working alongside Phil to help patients through more complex or stubborn cases. With her calm, nurturing presence, Alexes ensures every patient feels comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared for.
